Since 1997, nationals from South Africa have been sponsored by the Australian Government through the Australia Awards to Study in Australia. Applicants from South Africa are eligible to apply for Masters and Short Course Awards.

South Africa Alumni

There are significant numbers of South African alumni working in the public and private sectors and community based organisations, occupying positions such as Deputy Director in the Department of Science and Technology, Assistant Director in the Department of Traditional Affairs and Director with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
