In order to take up the Award, all Australian Awards Scholarships and Australian Awards-Short Course candidates must be issued with an appropriate student visa by the Australian Government, and in some cases African Governments. For more information on Australian visas, visa application forms and the visa-related medical examinations, please visit the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) at www.border.gov.au.
If you are awarded a scholarship or short course, Palladium will assist you through the process of obtaining the necessary visas and make travel arrangements on your behalf.
The visa application process for Masters-level awards includes a requirement to undertake a medical examination and the results of this examination may affect your application. Palladium will advise you on where to undertake the medical examination and will reimburse you for the costs. Medical examinations are not ordinarily required for Short Course Awardees.
The decision of DIBP on whether or not to issue a visa is completely independent of the selection process. If a visa is not issued, then unfortunately you will not be able to take up the award.
